Typical Toddler Snip-its

These little snip-its were taken sometime this summer...

Ducks in a row...

These are a few pictures from the Portland Zoo which we visited with Grandma Koler and Aunt Lindsay.
During this trip to Vancouver, we got together with all of the Kohlers for a fun BBQ at Papa & Nana's house. Charlotte had an opportunity to play with her cousins Wyatt and Colt (2nd cousins) whom she had not yet played with (she was only 2 months old when we last saw them). They were very cute together!

Another Weekend of Weddings!

On Friday, August 7th we helped celebrate in Lynden with our Friends Max & Taylor! Congrats to the newlyweds! It was a great oppotunity to catch up with friends from college that we have not seen since we left Bellingham.
Then, that Sunday, August 9th, my mom and Brad got married! Whew... it was quite the weekend! Congrats to the second happy couple of the weekend!

Bellingham Visit

It has been a few years since we have walked across the WWU campus! We stopped there when we visited Bellingham this August. While in Bellingham, we also got to visit Boundary Bay Brewery and best of all... The Mauss Family!

They Did IT!

I think the most anticipated wedding this summer was Erin and Wayne's! July 26th, 2009 They finally did it, and it was beautiful! It was super hot here in Washington- during our heat wave and record breaking temperatures. It was so hot, that the cake actually began to melt!During the ceremony, us girls were melting, so I can only imagine how the guys in the tuxes felt!

Just cute!

Family Picture Summer 09

Time for a new family picture...

Sand in your...

During the heat wave (103 degrees in Tacoma) it was pretty impossible to keep clothing on Charlotte. When you're 2, you can get away with running around your yard completely naked! But just one little tip Charlotte would like to share... if you get in the pool and then get in the sand box... you WILL get sand in your crack!

Sticker ME!

This is what happens if you fall alseep and Charlotte is still going strong!

Bringing home a baby bumble bee...

I cannot remember the date now.. but back in July, Charlotte got stung by a bee for the first time. She had been singing the song, "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee" quite a bit- and I think she got the wrong idea- or at least didn't pay much attention to the 2nd verse. She is a tough girl though... so I heard her scream initially. She came running in to the kitchen and yelled, "Owie! BEBE BEE (baby bee)!" The scream seamed real, but she wasn't really crying, just whining. So I sat her down and started feeding her lunch. Every few minutes, she would shake her hand and say, "Owie, Owie." Then about 30 minutes later, she whimpered again, "oh no bebe bee."- I looked at her hand and it was completely swollen, it looked like it was going to explode! So i gave her some baby benedryl and off to bed she went. It wasn't that I didn't believe her in the first place, she just didn't seem upset enough!
After nap time, to EVEN FURTHER confirm, the bee... she got up and went straight to the living room, and started pointing at the floor saying, "bebe bee!" And sure enough... there on the floor was that darn baby bee!

Christian's 2nd Bday

Saturday, July 18th we celebrated Christian's 2nd Bday!

Coury Cousins

Charlotte and I were able to spend a little time this summer with Sarah, Ava, and Noah (Coury Cousins). We had a great time, and wish we could do it more! One time, we even met at IKEA for lunch. This turned out to be a perfect place to meet with kids... the food is cheap (and good), and they have a great kids play area near tables for mommies to eat and visit. Thanks for hanging with us!
Here are the kids having a Banana Break in the kitchen.

ABC's

Last night I caught Charlotte singing the ABC song- and I actually understood her! Then when I asked her to sing it again for her daddy, she just starred at me like I was crazy. Catch it on tape?... yeah right!
